1. Privacy statement

Your privacy is important to AGS. We have prepared this privacy statement to inform you about how we collect, use and store your personal data.

This privacy statement applies to all purchases of Aarhus GeoSoftware, Workbench, SPIA & Geotomo Software Sdn Bhd modules & products.

 

2. AGS collects and uses personal data in the following ways

‘Personal data’ is information which, either alone, or in combination with other collected information, can identify a person. If we combine other information (i.e. information which cannot in itself identify a person) with personal data, we process the combined information as personal data.

If you purchase a product, we collect personal data about you, such as your name, email, postal address and telephone number, so we can process your order and execute your purchase.

When you communicate with us by email, telephone or in person, we may collect relevant personal data such as your name, your postal address, your telephone number, your email address and your preferred contact method as well as information about the product you have purchased, for example licence number and date of purchase. We may also create event logs, which are useful in diagnosing problems with products or programs and register information about support or service needs. We use this information to provide customer and product services.

We may use personal data to communicate with you regarding your account or transactions with us, to provide you with important information about our products, to send you notices of significant changes to this privacy statement and to send you offers and campaigns for our products in accordance with the current legislation and the available options as described below under ‘Your options regarding marketing-related correspondence’.

We may use personal data for internal statistical, marketing or operational purposes, including to generate sales reports, as well as to measure and understand demographics, user interests, purchases and other trends among our customers.

 

3. Security

AGS takes precautionary measures within reasonable limits to protect you against loss, abuse, unauthorized access and unauthorized disclosure or changes of the personal data for which we are responsible.

 

4. Your options regarding marketing-related correspondence

We may use your personal data to send you marketing-related correspondence (including emails) about our products based on your email preferences.

We will not disclose your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

If you do not wish to receive marketing-related correspondence from us, you must send an email to the email address stated below with the heading ‘Unsubscribe from marketing correspondence’.

 

5. Privacy statement updates

We reserve the right to change this privacy statement when required, including in connection with changes to technology and amendments to legislation. We will inform you if these changes are of significant importance, and we will request your consent if this is required by the current legislation. The notice of changes will be sent by email in accordance with the current legislation.

 

6. Storage of personal data

We will store your personal data for the period necessary to perform the purposes for which your personal data has been collected, as specified in this privacy statement, unless a longer storage period is required by the current legislation.

 

7. How to review, rectify, update and erase your personal data

AGS takes reasonable precautionary measures to ensure that the personal data we collect from you is correct, complete and up to date. You can request access to your personal data and demand that errors or incorrect data be updated. You can also request that your personal data be erased. We will respond immediately to your requests in accordance with any current legislation.

To protect you, we will only answer requests regarding personal data in connection with the specific email address you use to send us your request, and we may have to verify your identity before we can make the changes you request. We reserve the right to reject requests for procedures that pose a risk to the privacy of others, are particularly impractical or will entail acts which are not in accordance with the current legislation. In addition, in accordance with the current legislation, we may need to keep certain data for documentation purposes, such as storing records of your purchases for warranty or accounting purposes.
