Here is a list of third-party software that is needed for Aarhus Workbench and SPIA depending of the version.
These are only needed if an older version of Workbench or SPIA is downloaded from our webpage since they are included in the installer of the newest version.
Firebird
Firebird Server 2.5.4 is the database server for Aarhus Workbench and SPIA on the local machine or on the file server holding the Aarhus Workbench and SPIA workspace and databases.
BDE - Borland Database Engine
BDE is needed for Workbench versions before 5.7.0.0 and SPIA versions before version 3.3.0.0.
FlameRobin
FlameRobin is a database administration tool for Firebird databases. FlameRobin is not needed for running Aarhus Workbench or SPIA.
Geosoft redistributables
Aarhus Workbench, Res2DInv and Res3DInv are capable reading from and writing to Geosoft GDB files. In order to employ these capabilities, it is necessary to install the Geosoft redistributables which is a collection of files that are required to be present for stand-alone applications that use the Geosoft APIs.
